Stage 1
On arrival at the airport you will be warmly welcomed by our English-speaking driver. The journey begins with a visit to the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala, located approximately 89 km from Colombo. The facility was established in 1975 and cares for abandoned and injured elephants. Experience the feeding and bathing times – memorable encounters with these gentle giants. You will arrive in Kandy and have the rest of the day free. Overnight at a hotel in Kandy.
After breakfast you will set out on a city tour of Kandy. Visit the Royal Botanical Garden, which covers 147 acres and dates back to 1374. Admire over 5,000 species of trees and plants, including endemic and tropical flora. Continue exploring Kandy, the capital of the hill country, known for the annual Peraheran and its rich Buddhist traditions. Visit the Tandens tempel, a revered shrine where the relic of the Buddha’s tooth is kept. In the evening enjoy a cultural dance performance in Kandy. Overnight at a hotel in Kandy.
Stage 2
After breakfast you will travel towards Nuwara Eliya, stopping at the Ramboda Falls, Sri Lanka’s eleventh highest waterfall. Visit a tea factory and a tea plantation to follow the tea-making process. Visit Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple, dedicated to Hanuman, featuring a 16-foot-high statue. In Nuwara Eliya, often called “Little England”, enjoy a city tour through idyllic landscapes, valleys and tea plantations. Visit Seetha Amman-templet, which is linked to the Ramayana epic. Overnight at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
Stage 3
After breakfast you will continue to Bentota. Stop in Kosgoda to visit a turtle hatchery that works on the conservation of sea turtles. Continue to Madu Ganga for a scenic boat trip through the mangroves, where you will see abundant wildlife and local life on the islands. Overnight at a hotel in Bentota.
After breakfast you will travel to Colombo. Explore the city’s commercial and residential areas, including Fort, Pettah and Cinnamon Gardens. Visit landmarks such as BMICH, Independence Square and the Dutch Church in Wolfendhal. Discover Colombo’s vibrant culture and architecture. Overnight at a hotel in Colombo.
Stage 4
Conclude your memorable trip with breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight, taking fond memories of your Sri Lanka experience. Have a pleasant flight!
